Overview:Rackspace Managed Public Cloud is looking for a product manager to own and rapidly evolve our services and product portfolio for our Managed Google Cloud solution in line with the overall direction and strategy of the organizationThis role will be critical to building new, flexible offers focused on Google Cloud and ensuring such offers are able to deliver managed cloud solutions to Rackspace customersWith your peers, including other product managers and architects, you will act as a business and subject matter leader, managing the roadmap, feature set, and overall business results owner for your product areaThis includes working with product engineering, delivery, and development, assisting the marketing team with the collateral generation, launch activities, and marketing assets, engaging with prospects and customers to gather insights, understanding customer issues, supporting customer success and engaging with sales in enablement and pursuit as well as any other activities needed to execute on product business strategy
You Will:
- Build and manage Google Cloud offers and customer journeys based on overall Managed Public Cloud solution strategy, customer feedback, industry trends, and other research, coordinating with Product Management peers as required
- Own the execution of the roadmap, coordinate with internal engineering and delivery teams as well as selected partners
- Define product requirements and use cases
- Build relationships and coordinate with Google and Rackspace’s partner leaders to define managed service solutions based on Google Cloud technology
- Develop a build/buy/partner framework for evaluating how to fill product gaps
- Work with Engineering to manage and prioritize the product backlog
- Collaborate with delivery to build capacity and skill set planning models
- Perform market research to inform the roadmap and understand the competition
- Coordinate with marketing on GTM planning and collateral development
- Support sales on customer calls to pursue deals and gather customer feedback
- Enable sales with training appropriate to positioning and supporting the product
- Work with marketing to develop appropriate collateral, perform PR, and communicate bi-directionally with analysts
- Develop business cases for new offers and releases
- Ability to work within a remote team
You Have:
- 7-10+ years of product management, or equivalent, experience in the public cloud industry with a proven track record of product ownership and success growing products and services
- Significant exposure and knowledge of the public cloud market with a focus on cloud-native solutions
- Ability to define and launch innovative services products
- Experience working with Agile engineering teams
- Experience working with partners in the development and delivery of service products
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders clearly, experience communicating with industry analysts
- Ability to own execution without continuous oversight
- Demonstrated flexibility to wear multiple hats as required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- BS in Technology or Business preferred
- MBA preferred
